Microsoft is reportedly working on a new version of Google Maps that will work across the Windows Phone, iOS, and Android platforms, in addition to Windows 10.
While Microsoft is not confirming this as a feature, Google has been pushing the idea of this in the past.
This will allow users to use Google Maps to access their Google account across Windows 10 devices, even though it is on Windows Phone and not a Microsoft product.
In an article from TechRadar, Google’s Brian Krzanich explained the new functionality and how it would work in a future update to Google Maps.
“The new Maps feature on Windows 10 allows users to easily access Google Maps in their browser,” he said.
“It will work on the web, on mobile, and on any other Windows 10 device that supports web-based navigation.”
This new functionality is also currently available in the Google Maps app for Windows 10 Mobile.
Microsoft also recently updated its Maps app to include this feature, and a few days ago it released a preview for the new Maps app that will roll out over the coming weeks.
“We want to make it easier for our customers to find and explore their favorite places on Windows and everywhere else,” said Kevin Bierut, senior director of Microsoft Maps.
Microsoft has been working on these features for a while now.
For example, it has already added a “Share with friends” feature to its Maps for Windows app that lets you share location with your friends.
Microsoft previously released a version of this feature that allows you to share your location with people you know and that has already been used by a large number of developers.
In addition, Microsoft has recently released its own Google Maps for Mac app that includes a feature that lets users share their location with friends using the same API.
Microsoft is also rumored to be working on new versions of Google Earth that will be able to work across a range of platforms.
Microsoft says the Maps app is one of the first places that will support this feature.
Microsoft recently added a feature to the Maps for iOS app that allows users who have downloaded the Google Earth app to view the same locations on the app that users who haven’t downloaded the app will see.
Microsoft’s Maps for Android app also lets users see a location for a given location without having to download Google Earth.
Google’s Bing Maps app will also work across Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 10 for Business.
Windows 10 is expected to arrive on November 7.
