Japanese grocery chains Hyvees China pickup sites are now closed.
The Japanese company announced on Wednesday that it had closed its China pickup and delivery services.
“Hyvees Chinese pickers and distributors will no longer be able to take orders at this site,” the company said in a statement.
The announcement comes as Hyveez’s China pickers continue to be in need of help.
Last week, the Japanese grocery giant said that it has reached a memorandum of understanding with China’s Taoxi Foods Group to take over its China pick-and-shove service.
The deal is valued at more than $2 billion.
In September, Taoxis Taoxia Foods Group acquired Hyveee’s Chinese pick-along service, which had operated in China for more than a decade.
Hyvee said it would be launching its new pick-up and delivery service at a Taoxian grocery store in the southern Chinese city of Wuhan, in the northern province of Zhejiang.
The new service will offer customers the option to pick-off from kiosks, where customers will pay with their credit card.
The service will not be available at Taoxians Taoxiong grocery store.
