WASHINGTON — A man has been arrested in the Walmart shooting in suburban Dallas, authorities said Wednesday, hours after another man was arrested in an unrelated case in a suburb of the same city.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest Wednesday afternoon.
The two men arrested were identified as Joseph E. Thomas, 26, and Jose L. Martinez, 29.
Both were charged with armed robbery.
Martinez was a felon who was on parole for a crime he committed in 1999.
Thomas was a convicted felon who served more than two years in prison for a weapons-related crime.
Both men have been held on $50,000 bond.
The Associated Press is not identifying them as a publication has not received a subpoena.
Walmart said in a statement that it is aware of the arrests, and that the company is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
