Kroger, the nation’s largest grocery delivery service, announced Thursday that it is expanding its delivery service to include its own grocery stores and other stores, including online grocery delivery.
Kroger will provide a variety of groceries from the store’s menu to customers’ homes and to online delivery through its grocery delivery app, which is available on iOS and Android.
Krogea has also announced a partnership with Amazon, which will offer groceries for delivery in Amazon’s warehouses, which are located outside of Kroger stores.
Kroges delivery service will be available through Kroger’s new online grocery stores in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Kro’s new grocery delivery system will be announced in March, according to a statement.
In addition, Kroger is also launching a “delivery hub” for delivery to restaurants and other places that use its service, and Kroger and Amazon have partnered on a variety other delivery apps.
The news comes after Kroger announced that it was investing $100 million in its online grocery platform.
The grocery company has said it is looking to expand its grocery business and expand delivery services to other locations.
Kroenke previously invested $30 million in a grocery delivery startup called DoorDash, which focuses on delivering grocery to homes.
